The Carnero is a legendary treasure ship lost to time until Kurt, a lucky treasure hunter, stumbles upon it.

Beginning of the 3rd level of Carnero. This acts as an introduction to the cold environmental controls. It can cause objects to become brittle, and can freeze some moving machinery.
These will be pistons that act as a stairway for the player when frozen in place.
You gun does little damage to these robots, so using the environment is a more efficient way of making it through the ship alive. Seen in this image is the secondary fire. It acts as a bait target to attract enemies to it and away from you. This can help to position enemies so you can better dispatch them using the environment.
One of the tram hallways on the ship. The player has to be careful not to get hit by one of these moving by.
The tram repair bay has robots swarming everywhere; But with a combination of cold and magnetism abilities, the player can dispatch the many robots with relative ease.
The second type of enemy you encounter. These big guys are virtually unkillable with your gun, and are difficult to push as well.
The player has walked into a dead-end room, to escape, some drastic measure may need to be taken.
The engine room at the end of the 3rd level. Fixing the fuel leak grants the player the ability to use the heating control in the next level.
The large cargo room at the beginning of the 5th level acts as an arena while the player waits for a lift to let him escape.
There are several traps that can be set to help hold off the mass of robots attempting to kill you. Igniting fuel lines, dropping crates from above, and breaking lifts to expose large pits allow the player to survive the ordeal.
The next room is a large hangar that the player must navigate through.
The final room before the transition to the last level of the game. The player can activate a trash compactor with two unlucky robots caught within it.

Carnero was created by a team of 4 designers, 3 artists, 2 programmers, 1 test lead , and 1 producer. It was created as our senior capstone project.
The premise of the game is to use different environmental controls in the ship to navigate your way through a spaceship and either avoid or destroy its robotic guardians. These environmental controls give the player the ability to adjust the ship's internal temperature to extreme hot or cold, and active a magnetic floor system. Each control affects the environment differently. Some objects become brittle and easily broken in extreme cold, while magnetism could be strong enough to rip old pieces of metal to the ground. The gun the player carries does little damage to these enemies, so it is often beneficial to find a way to use the environment against them. The weapon also has some push-back associated with it, which can help position enemies into traps or out of your way. A secondary fire mode drops an object that attracts the enemies for a short period of time, giving you either time to breath or can lure enemies into traps.
